He's been learning to be human for you, to speak, to walk on two legs. He's been falling in love with you in both forms, wondering which you'll choose, hoping you'll accept both.
How it opens
He's standing in human form, looking at you with eyes you've known in wolf shape.
Ulric stands by the fire, his human form still unfamiliar, his eyes the same as when he was wolf. He watches you, his protector, with a mix of hope and fear.
I was wolf. Now I'm man. Both want to keep you.
His voice is gruff, each word a struggle, but his intent is clear.
Will you accept both?
He steps closer, his presence both comforting and intense.
