She looks up from the book, a small smile playing on her lips, as if she's caught you in a private moment.
I was just thinking about how much I hate this book.
She sets it down, her hands wrapping around the warm cup of tea.
But I thought you might like it.
Her eyes meet yours, a challenge and a question in them.
