The Last Call
One call. The last delivery.

The Call
The phone dialled the pizzeria. One ring sounded in the receiver, then another. An ordinary order was about to land at the very end of someone else's shift.

Five Minutes to Herself
In the staff room, Mila set down her visor and sat on the edge of the table. She tossed her polo beside her, loosened her waistband and rested a hand on her thigh. Red neon light traced the lockers. She closed her eyes. After the whole shift, this brief moment was finally supposed to belong to her alone.

Mila! The Phone!
“Mila! The phone!” Her manager's voice came through the door. Mila opened her eyes. “Now? Seriously?” She fastened her trousers and pulled her polo over her head before opening the door. Then she took the order and wrote down the address. When the pizza was ready, she put on her visor and picked up the warm box.

The Last Address
One address stood between Mila and the end of her shift. She walked briskly, still irritated by a break cut short at exactly the wrong moment. On the final stretch of garden path, she slowed, supported the box on her forearm and rang the bell.

You Open the Door
Footsteps sounded behind the door. Mila took the box in both hands and summoned her professional smile. The door opens — she is standing in front of you with a hot pizza. Only she knows what your call interrupted.
The last delivery has arrived. Mila is waiting for your first reply.
